You asked and we listened. We've had many requests to offer our same great service that we have for booking accessible cruises to setting up accessible "land" vacations. We've listened and are happy to announce our additional services available to you this year!
Escorted tours which are fully accessible for wheelchair users may include:
- Southern Arizona. An interesting region and the desert is beautiful in the spring (April)
- Land of Enchantment. Includes Carlsbad Caverns, Mesa Verde, and Arches National Parks (May)
- Western Canyons. Includes Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks (May)
- Yellowstone. Includes Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks plus Jackson Hole & Cody, WY (June)
- Yosemite. Includes San Francisco, Muir Woods and Monterey (September)
- Ireland (dates vary – 2 or 3 tours per summer)
Please note that the above are small customized specialty tours lacking the "buying in volume" of large tour operators running weekly departures on big motorcoaches that can put 80+ passengers into a hotel each time. As such, these tours have a higher cost. However, these tours offer fantastic small group experiences with accessibility being a key component.
Additional escorted tours may be available to you on "mainstream" experiences:
- Full-time wheelchair users may find some U.S. tours to be accessible. Please note that the tours would not be geared toward a wheeler, but are able to be somewhat adapted.
- Part-time wheelchair users may have more domestic opportunities which are appropriate and comfortable for your needs and interests.
- Slow-walkers keeping to a slower pace, shorter distance and/or using a cane or walker might find certain international tours to also be appropriate to your needs and interests.
