Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio at any time.

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
Explore the famous sandy beaches of Rio on this free day, or take in breathtaking views from the "Christ the Redeemer" statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Day 3, 4 Paraty
Head down the beautiful "Costa Verde" to the town of Paraty, considered one of the world's best examples of Portuguese colonial architecture. Spend the afternoon exploring the cobblestone streets and cafes. Go island hopping from beach to beach in the Ilha Grande Bay and go snorkelling, or dine on fresh seafood.

Day 5 Layover in Sao Paulo - Night Bus
Depart Paraty in the morning and head to Sao Paulo, then board a "sleeper" style night bus to Iguassu Falls.

Day 6-8 Iguassu Falls
Explore this tri-border region where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet at the junction of the Parana and Iguazu rivers. The falls themselves are comprised of 275 separate waterfalls over a 3 km area, with some over 80m (262.4 ft) in height. Spend the next two days exploring both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides of the falls. Incredible options include a helicopter trip above the falls or a Zodiac cruise into the heart of the falls. Night bus to Bonito, arriving around breakfast time on Day 9.

Day 9, 10 Bonito
Bonito is an outdoor lover's dream. Some of the many options here include snorkelling down the Rio de la Prata, swimming in lagoons or visiting macaw nesting spots.

Day 11-13 Pantanal 3B, 3L, 3D
Explore the Pantanal, an immense wetland area famed for its abundant wildlife. Marvel at macaws, Jabiru storks, giant otters, anteaters, caimans and countless other species of fauna. Accommodation is basic as we stay in a large tent and sleep in hammocks.
