Veterans to Set Sail For Grand Reunion

What may be the largest seagoing veterans reunion is set to sail on Pearl Harbor Day this year. Also open to active military, Operation Veterans Cruise will take place on December 7-14, 2008 aboard Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom of the Seas. Arrangements for this first-ever grand reunion are being handled by Connie George Travel Associates.
”This event means a lot to me professionally and personally. My husband, a Vietnam era veteran, died last year from cancer,” said Connie George, owner of Connie George Travel Associates. “This cruise will be a special way to unite soldiers and benefit returning veterans. A donation from every cabin booked will be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. "
Prices for Operation Veterans Cruise begin at only $881 per person. The cruise will include a Pearl Harbor memorial service and a special get-together for all participants. Sailing from Miami and calling on Labadee, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, this Western Caribbean cruise will offer numerous opportunities for participants to relax with their traveling companions and to make new friends. Smaller veterans groups will also have the option of putting together their own mini-reunion event during the cruise.
