What our client asked for:
An original inquiry from one of three sisters asked about the best Alaska cruise option for them. It was their first cruise and one of the sisters is a full-time wheelchair user. They wanted a seven night cruise which would we as much as possible of Alaska while using starting and ending ports with easy to reach airports from their homes. They wanted something special within a reasonable budget.
What we booked for them:
With experience in accessible travel and having sailed to Alaska multiple times, the top choice that I had for these ladies was Holland America Line’s Noordam sailing from Vancouver to Seward. This would enable them to visit Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway with an incredible day in scenic Glacier Bay. We booked a Neptune Suite which was reasonably priced for three people. It gave them extra space to spread out a bit along with extra features and amenities. We took care of special needs reports, accessible accommodations, transportation and sightseeing. We worked to clear an excursion waitlist that wasn’t budging, worked to ensure that they were aware of the various nuances to cruising, Alaska and accessible sailing. When we send people off on their trips, we want them confident in being prepared and knowledgeable on what to expect.
Their testimonial:
“Kudos to Connie! My sisters and I went on our first cruise ever, to Alaska, and Connie helped make it so successful. We had a well-located suite, the amenities we wanted, and lots of behind-the-scenes help with our excursions. I can't imagine doing this without Connie's help and I've been telling everyone about her. So many details we didn't know about...she's the expert and really guided us which made for smooth sailing! I told Connie she can never retire!”
